The photo shoot in ponderosa pine and aspen stands along Highway 64 west of Tres Piedras with Jessica Fry had me glued to the computer screen for a good part of the week, seeking the best and most compelling images from the group of nearly 300.  Although roughly two-thirds were shot with my Nikon D5200, I was struck by the quality of the Nikon D800 with Nikkor AF-5 70-200mm lens.  It bowls me over every time I shoot portraits with it. But I must, again, thank Jessica for her willingness to think about the shoot and preparing for it.

Thanks for continuing the series with Jessica. The images will no doubt be part of your wood nymph series. The black and white at the top harkens back to the mid-century masters and earlier. Very dark and trance-like.
