summer remnants
Despite the fact that a friend from the Phoenix area said his swimming pool temperature is 90 degrees and that is how he knows summer continues, you can feel in the morning air that the seasons above 7,500 feet are on the cusp of change. This morning's collection of summer remnants keeps it in hand just a bit longer. Lettuce and greens love raised beds.

Moths are insects to which I normally pay little attention but this one, wings drying on the concrete, caught my eye with its stunning patterns.

The humble goatsbeard flower, when it goes to seed, produces patterns and rhythms all its own.
