

Anyone who has lived in the desert or the western United States understands microclimates and has seen rain pouring out of the sky, arroyos running over their randomly established banks while half a mile away, it is dry as bone. We humans are constantly teased by the weather and the sky.
Just as the sun was setting Thursday night, the clouds were spectacular - back lit to the point of glowing. I ran to get my camera already equipped with the 70-200 mm lens and started shooting.

And then I turned left to look at the actual sunset. A real cascade of color.
