Whether spring is happening in a yard or around the neighborhood, in the fields or mountains or in gifted blooms, there are endless photographic opportunities at this time of year, as flowers and leaves unfold, presenting surprises everywhere.   The images today are of Gerber daisies, used by florists in bouquets for huge splashes of color.  The birthday bouquet from friends I&R , and the basket Connie gave to Fred years ago to hold balls of wool, make a stunning pair. The rhythm seems a good accompaniment to the layered petals of the daisies.

The fuchsia color of these daisies could hardly be any brighter than they already are, except when accentuated by a black backdrop.

Adding more contrast to the image below produces a different type of drama and color tint.
