breaking through

March 31, 2025  •  2 Comments

Spring and March presented themselves in earnest last week with warm winds and sunshine.  And all of nature knows this is the time for action. Vegetative growth from bulbs that wait patiently throughout the winter miraculously pushed through the hard, dry soil, and the blooms have arrived.  Flowering shrubs and fruit trees are gradually joining the party, each in its own time, but enough to emit that incredible smell only fruit trees produce.  Photographed either in color or black and white, the blossoms are quite special.

Good to see another nod to spring in New Mexico. As always you have the eye and skill to display these icons in all their glory. I'm especially taken by the pink blossoms at the top of the series. The mix of pink and maroon flowers is outstanding. I'm also glad you included a black and white image. The shallow depth of field which you favor certainly calls attention to the white flowers. All the daffodils are lovely, as well.

Absolutely perfect with my second cuppa, Daryl. Thank you for the words and eloquent images!
